We're looking for someone who loves people, enjoys riding, and wants to help inspire others to improve their lives through cycling.

Full time Mechanic/Service Manager

This position is full time and focused on managing our team, bike builds, and repairs. Being a manager at Earl's Bike Shop means you'll be behind the bench AND offering exceptional customer service on the sales floor. Being friendly and interacting with customers is a key part of the job. We pride ourselves on stellar technical skills, and looking for someone who can bring even more knowledge to our growing team. We're known for high quality service and exceptional customer experience in the Atlanta area, and looking for the right someone to join us! 


5+ years of experience working as a mechanic at a bike shop required for consideration when applying for this position.

At least 2 years experience managing a team of 2 or more people

Applicants for this position must enjoy leading and mentoring others 

have solid communication skills, a "get it done right" mindset, and be a creative problem solver

Ability to lift and move around bicycles, 15-50 lbs each, multiple daily

Be up to date on all Covid vaccines and boosters, and all employees are encouraged to wear a KN95 while at work. 

BONUS points if you're familiar with Specialized bikes and merchandise


  • Lead our mechanic team
  • Build and repair bikes to Earl's Bike Shop standards
  • Work with our team to organize schedule of work orders and delegate service of bikes to team members. Ensure service is completed on time according to schedule and other deadlines.
  • Mentor, train, and coach team members
  • Communicate with customers both in the shop and over text through Ikeono text app
  • Keep your bench, work areas, and shop clean and organized
  • Be customer service oriented and personable with everyone who comes through our doors
  • Assist with sales and inventory management as needed
  • Kind and community minded
  • Not limited by own experience and always willing to evolve and adapt techniques to meet Earl’s Bike Shop standards. 
  • Excited to learn new techniques and skills/a desire to continue growing as a mechanic.
  • Able to problem solve and work in a fast paced environment
  • Work within Lightspeed retail to manage work orders and Service organization

80 hours paid vacation per year, to start
10 paid federal holidays per calendar year
