Earl's Bike Shop Femme & Them Ride

Hey y'all, you've made it to Earl's Bike Shop Femme & Them Ride details! We've created a ride specifically for Women, Trans Women, and Non-Binary folks in ATL to ride and have fun together. We're stoked to meet and ride with y'all.

2023 will have two types of rides that will alternate weekly: The "A" ride will be a social, no drop, 10mph pace, 10ish mile ride. The "B" ride will be a training ride, where we'll push each other to get faster and stronger! B rides will vary depending on route, at an average pace of 12-14 mph (to start!). There will be a sweep on these rides, and we'll have regrouping points along the way.

Both A and B rides start at the same time on Sundays.
Please meet in the parking lot next to the shop at 9:15am and we will roll out at 9:30am!

Shout out to Pamela Vickers, one of our ride leaders and Specialized Ambassadors for setting up the club and suggesting this as an alternative!

April 9 Easter Sunday/Spring break NO RIDE
April 23 Femme and Them Gun Club Route here

The Gun Club route has 4 regroup points, noted on the route in "ride GPS". Each rider can go at their own pace and we will stop and wait at the regroup points if we get separated (check out the notes on regroup points Pamela Vickers put together for us HERE! Right now the points of interest don't load to the wahoo, so you will not be cued at regroup points.) The route is 20 miles in total, and we're aiming for an average of 12-14mph pace for this ride. We'll have a sweep on the ride to make sure no one gets left behind — unless you want to be! — if you want to end the ride on your own before it’s complete that is ok! Just let the sweep or another rider know so no one is waiting for you at the next regroup point.

We suggest using a cycling computer (we highly recommend, use, and sell the wahoo bolt) or a phone with the “ride with GPS” app downloaded to track the route. A handle bar phone holder makes it easier to access and follow the route while riding.

A and B ride requirements

All bikes welcome (B/training rides are planned for road bikes) New and seasoned cyclists welcome. Show up with your bike ready to ride (we won't have the staff or time to do on the spot fixes or trouble shooting right before rides)

Helmets required for the safety of all riders. We sell helmets that can be purchased at the shop before the ride, or if you're unable to get a helmet for whatever reason we have a few that we lend out that can be borrowed for the ride.
