We're hiring at Earl's Bike Shop 

We're looking for someone who loves people, enjoys riding, and wants to help inspire others to improve their lives through cycling.

Full time Sales Manager

This position is full time and focused on building customer relationships, selling bikes + accessories, and helping lead our team. Being friendly, building community, and offering exceptional customer experience is a key part of the job. 

Applicants must be outgoing, have solid communication and interpersonal skills, and be a creative problem solver. 


Requirements

3-5 years of experience working in sales at a bike shop required for consideration when applying for this position. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience leading a team.

Ability to lift and move around bicycles, 15-55 lbs each, multiple daily

We require all team members to be up to date on Covid vaccines and boosters.

Ability to take customers on test rides, educate them on the features of each model they are interested in, and help them understand the differences between bikes and components.

Knowledgable and confident in talking about components and ability to meet the customer where they're at. Some customers just want the basics, some want a full fledged conversation about group sets, brakes, electronic shifting vs mechanical, type of carbon, etc. We get all types of riders at the shop and you'll need to be able to speak with all of them.

Must be able to be a part of a team. We're a small shop — there's no room for big egos


Responsibilities  

  • Be the face of the shop. Greet and treat all customer's and community members with respect and listen to each rider's needs and preferences. Building positive relationships and community is central to our well-being as a small business. 
  • Excited to learn about new products and industry updates and teach new sales approaches. Must have a desire to grow. Not limited by own experience and always willing to evolve and adapt to meet Earl’s Bike Shop standards
  • Grow as a leader and share your enthusiasm for cycling with our team and customers
  • Able to problem solve and work in a fast paced environment
  • Communicate with customers both in the shop and over text through Ikeono texting program
  • Pitch in to keep the shop clean and organized
  • Assist with inventory management as needed
  • Kind, inclusive, and community minded
  • Work within Lightspeed retail to make sales and create work orders for Service department.
  • Assist in ordering parts for specific builds
  • Assist on some shop group rides in different roles such as sweep, leader, or traffic control

Knowledge about Specialized brand/bikes a major plus.
